Stand Up Paddling Tours
Our Stand Up Paddling adventures combine lessons in technique and safety with adventure travel on Lake Superior and other local waterways. First time on a SUP? read our article on Why should I SUP?
The following are guided trips. If you're looking for rentals, go here. For SUP instruction such as yoga and skills clinics, here.
Stand Up Romans Point Sea Caves Tour
We start this tour with a lesson in the fun-damentals, (good for novices) then head out along the shoreline to paddle among the increasingly beautiful cliffs and sea caves of Romans Point. Paddlers must be at least 14 years of age.
HALF-Day Romans Point Sea Caves
Trip Start Times: 9am & 4:00pm
This trip is approximately 3 hours long with a 2 mile round-trip paddle. Great for first time SUP-ers!
$65 plus tax per person includes equipment, and guide.
Romans Point Caves
FULL-Day Romans Point Sea Caves
Trip Start Time: 10am
This tour travels from beautiful Bark Bay where the water is warm (giving us time to practice) and then out around Romans Point. Honestly this is my personal favorite. Diverse paddle, no crowds, great scenery. Tour is approximately 6 hours long with a 5 mile paddle. Includes lunch on board!
$129 plus tax per person includes equipment, and guide.
Stand Up Bark Bay
Trip Time: 4:00-7pm
Until a couple years ago I had not SUP'd at the Bark Bay Slough. After experiencing it in the evening, with mist on the water, kingfishers hunting and Rose bushes in bloom (can you smell it?) we decided to add it to our trip options. It was a great paddle. At the end we decided to catch some waves on the way back. (a great option but not required:) Paddlers must be at least 14 years of age.
