First Aid Courses
Our first aid courses are offered in association with the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)
Wilderness First Aid
Dates: June 8-9, 2024.
Location: Lost Creek Outdoor School, Cornucopia, WI
Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is a sixteen hour course designed as an introduction to wilderness medicine. The two day course focuses on assessing and responding to injury and illness in situations where support from EMS or a hospital is delayed. The course covers a wide variety of injuries and illnesses, and provides guidelines on how to identify if a patient can stay in the wilderness or needs to seek additional medical care. Certificate is good for 2 years. Does not include CPR. (see below for CPR course options)
This course follows Emergency Care & Safety Institute guidelines.
Tuition: $165 if booked 45 or more days in advance, $195 after. Use code "wildfirstaid" at checkout to receive early bird discount.
Materials Cost: Books and equipment included.
CPR Courses
Adult & Child CPR & AED Interactive
Dates/Times: June 10, 2024. 9am-12pm.
Location: Lost Creek Outdoor School, Cornucopia, WI
This is a hybrid course where students take the course and online quizzes, then meet with the instructor for the hands-on exam. Course Information

Healthcare Provider CPR & AED Interactive

Location: Lost Creek Outdoor School, Cornucopia, WI
This course includes one and two person CPR, Child, Infant, & AED. A must-have for anyone working in a leadership role and is standard for WFR certificate holders. Certification lasts 2 years. Course Information
