The Lost Creek Crew
Howdy, y’all. I love the outdoors and have been guiding outdoor trips and activities for about five years now. Most recently I was leading trips in the Florida Keys and I’m excited to see the contrast between kayaking there and here on Lake Superior. I can’t wait to meet you all and share some great adventures this Summer!
My name is Talia and I am currently studying environmental science at Pitzer College. I grew up in Madison kayaking on the lakes, and have a love for crocheting, baking, backpacking, and meeting new people. This will be my first year as a guide with LCA, and I am so so excited to spend the summer exploring the area with you all!!
Hi, my name is Noah, I'm super excited to be a part of the LCA team this summer! Currently, I am studying elementary education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I've spent most of my childhood exploring and soaking up the north woods. Aside from being on the water I enjoy camping, fly fishing, and strumming the guitar. I'm excited to share the beauties of Lake Superior! See ya on the water!
This is my 8th season as a canoe and kayak guide. I look forward to getting back on the water paddling, and sharing a campfire with people who love to paddle as much as I do.
Hi there! My name is Haydn, and I'm thrilled to be joining LCA as a guide this summer! I'm now a student at Middlebury College in Vermont, but I've lived in and around Lake Superior for most of my life. When not on the water, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, baking, and playing guitar. I'm so excited to be able to share my love of the lake and my passion for the natural world with everyone!
Growing up in the land of 10000 lakes, I always loved the water. The idea of kayaking started as a way to fish the local waterways; paddling quickly became a passion and I haven’t put down my paddle long enough to fish! In the last 3 years, I have become a certified instructor, paddling/safety advocate, sea kayak symposium enthusiast, and officer of La Crosse Paddling Club. When I’m not on the water, you can find me hiking with my dog Larry, organizing music festivals, or volunteer fundraising.
I’m super stoked to join the LCA team this summer! This spring, I graduated from UW La Crosse with a degree in recreation management. I’ve been visiting Lake Superior since childhood and have grown to love spending time anywhere in the north woods. Aside from kayaking, I enjoy mountain biking, climbing and skiing; really anything that gives me an excuse to explore and be outside. I can’t wait to meet amazing people and help facilitate positive experiences on the big lake!
Howdy, I’m Trevor! I am an outdoor adventurer from Oregon where I just finished a degree in Outdoor Adventure Leadership. There I guided activities such as whitewater rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking and more. During the summer when I wasn’t adventuring I used to fight fire and responded to some of the biggest fires in the state. I can’t wait to explore this amazing area and help people make lifelong memories.
Hi! My name is Emily and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan. This is my first year with LCA and I could not be more excited. I love meeting new people and spending my time outside. Other than my love for kayaking and being out on the water, I also enjoy skiing, reading, and cooking with friends and family.
Sarah's been working, living, and playing on the shores of the Big Lake for the past 7 years. When not helping folks have an amazing experience on the water, she can be found sailing, hiking, swimming, and basking in the glory of a Bayfield peninsula summer.
This photo is me and my dog Wati on Madeline Island, he is my sidekick in just about everything I do. I've spent a lot of time traveling and living elsewhere in the United States and abroad in Europe and Latin America, and Lake Superior is still my favorite place to be and I'm excited to share that with others!
Hello, I’m Ben. I’m an avid skier, runner, paddler, guitar player, and movie watcher. I’m excited to get out on the water this summer and learn more about Lake Superior.
