"Why should we choose you for our sea cave tour?" Read our answer.
Apostle Islands Sea Caves Exploration
Our Sea Cave Tour is the most sought after adventure in the Apostle Islands. When conditions are safe we explore the Mainland Sea Caves accessed from Meyers Beach, only a 4 mile drive from our shop. These are the most extensive sea caves on the mainland.

This family-friendly tour utilizes tandem sea kayaks to explore the sea caves of Romans Point, the unique estuary of Lost Creek, and the cultural history of Cornucopia. Read more about our Romans Point Tour on our blog.
Family Friendly! Though we get many adult groups for this trip, be prepared to have kids as part of your group. Parents should be prepared to paddle for their child. We think kids add a great perspective to the experience!
$60 per participant 12 years and up.
$30 per child ages 5 to 11.
Includes instruction, kayak & safety equipment, transportation, and guide.
Sand Island In A Day
Trip starts at 9am and returns approximately 4:30pm.
Sand Island is one of the 22 Apostle Islands and is one of the most diverse to visit; sea caves, a lighthouse, hiking trails, beaches, apple trees, Model T Fords(!)... A 1.5 hour paddle brings you to this historical and beautiful island without the need to camp. Expect an 8 mile round-trip paddle and hiking if you choose. Novice paddlers can do this trip and should be in decent physical shape.
If rough water is predicted this trip will be changed to our Sea Caves Full Day tour. If the mainland sea caves are not safely accessible you have the option of rescheduling or cancelling for a full refund.
Since time won't allow us to explore everything Sand Island has to offer we will base our itinerary on safety and group interests.
$119 per person includes equipment, transportation, guide, and picnic style lunch. View payment & refund policies
Full Moon Kayak
2020 Dates: July 4, 5, 6. August 2, 3, 4. September 1, 2, 3.
Trip Time: 8pm to 11pm.
It's amazing being out on the water after dark. The lake is at its calmest and the sea caves at Romans Point are surreal! We may even learn some constellations while we're at it.
*Important* For safety reasons we only run this tour when the moon is at its brightest, but you must also bring 1 headlamp/flashlight per every two people in your group. (We sell headlamps at our shop if you don't have one)
$50 per person includes kayaking equipment & guide.
Shipwrecks & Snorkeling
Trip times: 9:30am to 3:30pm. Sundays only.
The Apostle Islands hold a wealth of human history, some of it buried beneath the waves! In this trip we leave from Red Cliff and paddle our kayaks over, around and past several shipwrecks, as your guides tell you the tales of these and other sunken treasures in the area.
Snorkeling or skin diving the wrecks allows you to look at structure (natural and/or man made) and possibly wildlife.
Unlike scuba, this is a quiet recreation where one can see fish and other critters that may be otherwise spooked by the noise that scuba can make. Most people will swim on the surface, using a mask and snorkel to see beneath. We will give a safety talk, pointers and a demo prior to heading out.
We use sit on top kayaks for this trip so you can slide off and on while snorkeling around the shipwrecks. 4 mile round-trip paddle.
$119 per person includes guide, paddling equipment, on-water lunch, snorkel and mask. Minimum group of 4 or $50 additional logistics fee for group of 3, $80 for group of 2.
