Requirements To Attend
We would like to invite everyone to take part in our programs, however all participants must be physically capable of
engaging in the activity safely. Participants must be willing to listen to and follow directions of our staff. All participants are
required to read, understand, and sign our Acknowledgment Of Risk Form for all events, as well as a Medical History
Form when deemed necessary. We strongly suggest that you consult your health professional prior to registering and
contact us with any concerns you may have.
Lost Creek Adventures guides/instructors reserve the right to disqualify at any time, without refund, any member of the
trip/course who s/he determines is unable to mentally or physically continue due to safety or behavioral, issues.
Classes/Workshops: Usually must be at least 16 years old unless accompanied by parent or guardian.
Sea kayak paddlers: 12 years old and 100lbs minimum. Guardian must be present for ages 16 or under.
Sit on top kayak or triple sea kayak guided tours: 5 years old minimum. Guardian must be present.
Stand Up Paddleboard tours: 14 years old and/or 100 lbs minimum. Guardian must be present for ages 16 or under.
Rentals: Parent or guardian must be present and responsible for children. No supervision is provided.
Payment Prices listed are per person, and do not include taxes or gratuities.
To hold your reservation we require a deposit. Normally this is 50% of your total. We sometimes require payment in full.
Once we receive your reservation request (form below) we will contact you with details.
All Folk School offerings have an early/late payment option listed on the course page. It helps our instructors plan and
aquire materials the earlierr you can register, so we reward you for registering as early as possible. Materials fees are
seperate and are not affected by early/late payment.

Cancellations & Refunds
*We cancel = Full reimbursement. This may occur if there is insufficient participation or due to foreseeable weather
conditions. Lost Creek Adventures reserves the right to change the trip location/route for the sake of participant comfort and
safety. Once the trip departs the put-in area (beach, etc.) we do not issue refunds.
*You cancel: Lost Creek is proud to offer a reasonable cancellation policy, We charge a 5% administration fee to cancel
your deposit. The following policies also apply:
*1/2 to 1 day paddling reservations: You must notify us at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance for a full reimbursement minus
the admistration fee, otherwise your deposit is forfeit. If you must cancel last-minute due to personal illness we will do our
best to reschedule you, however in lieu of our ability to do so the loss will be shared equally. (loss of deposit)
*2 day + camping reservations: You must notify us at least 30 days in advance for a full reimbursement minus the
administration fee, 15-29 days in advance for deposit reimbursment minus the administration fee, 14 days or less, no
deposit reimbursment unless you find someone who can fill your spot. If you must cancel last-minute due to a serious
personal illness we will do our best to reschedule you, however in lieu of our ability to do so the loss will be shared equally.

*Equipment Rentals & shuttles: You must notify us at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance for cancellation or change of
reservation. We try to accommodate changes due to foul weather. Administration fee applies to returns.
*Folk School Workshops: You must notify us at least 14 days in advance for reimbursement of deposit minus administration
*Group Reservations: Your deposit is based off of the participant numbers you originally stated. If a person decides to not
show up, their amount of the deposit is forfeit, as we schedule guides/instructors based on how many are in your group. Try
to contact us early if you need to change your group size.
We encourage all of our participants to develop skills and judgment that leads to self-confidence and self-reliance. We take
measures to keep you safe, but ultimately you are responsible for your own actions. Real learning and adventure is not
You may be asked to lift, carry, pull, paddle, and otherwise exert yourself physically during the experience. You should
inform your instructor/guide if you feel uncomfortable with any of the tasks we are doing.
In case of emergency be sure your personal insurance is adequate to cover expenses caused by accidents in sometimes
remote locations. Our staff are trained to administer first aid, however Lost Creek Adventures LLC cannot assume liability
regarding costs of providing medical care or emergency evacuations.
As the equipment user you are responsible for damages and breakage beyond normal wear and tear. You must have a credit
card or drivers license on file with us to rent equipment.
Vehicles & Parking
The National Park requires you to pay a $3 parking fee at the Meyers beach sea caves if you drive your own vehicle. We
sometimes require that you provide your own transportation to paddling put-in sites for our trips.

Equipment, materials, and tools are provided unless otherwise noted.
Sea Kayak Tours
We encourage the use of tandem sea kayaks for safety. Occasionally single kayaks are allowed on tours. All paddling and
safety equipment is included, as well as a dry bag to keep your belongings and wetsuit if conditions deem them appropriate.

Sit On Top Kayak Tours
Include a stable single or tandem kayak, paddles & lifejackets. Optional items are listed on our rentals page.
Stand Up Paddleboard Tours
We provide stable, comfortable boards in several sizes. All trips also include a board, paddle, leash, & lifejacket. Optional
items are listed on our rentals page.
